P H I L O S O P H Y
Learning is most effective when students feel both challenged and supported.
My lessons are designed to develop confidence, clarity of thought, and independent problem-solving rather than reliance on memorisation alone. Whether working on English or Maths, the aim is not simply to improve performance in the next assessment, but to build skills that endure beyond the classroom.
Lessons are not merely topic-based instruction. Each session is shaped around identifying gaps in understanding, addressing misconceptions, and building clarity step-by-step.
Each student learns differently. Hence, lessons are tailored to individual strengths, areas for development, and long-term academic goals.
Teaching Experience
10+ years
EdTech curriculum development
Experienced in long-term KS2 and KS3 academic support, including multi-year student progression and exam preparation
Students supported internationally
Since 2011, I have worked with students across a range of ages and academic levels, supporting both English and Mathematics learning through structured one-to-one tuition.
Since 2022, I have worked extensively with students following the UK curriculum, including KS2 SATs preparation and KS3 academic support. Many students have remained with me across multiple year groups, allowing lessons to be adapted as their needs evolve. I have supported students across the UK and US.
Experience in teaching, curriculum development, and international online tuition has enabled me to shape a structured yet flexible approach focused on building confidence, understanding, and long-term academic progress.

A P P R O A C H
I believe effective tuition begins with understanding how a student thinks, not simply what they know.
Four Steps
1. Identify Gaps
Learning difficulties are often linked to underlying misconceptions rather than isolated mistakes.
2. Build Understanding
Concepts are explained through structured discussion, visual examples, and guided practice.
3. Strengthen Confidence
Students are encouraged to ask questions, reason, and develop independence in learning.
4. Track Progress
Lessons build on previous learning progress to create consistent academic growth over time.
Each session is adapted to the individual student.
Regular feedback and informal assessment ensure that progress is consistent and clearly understood.

F A Q s
Do you teach online or in person?
All lessons are conducted online, allowing flexible scheduling and consistent support regardless of location.
What curriculum do you follow?
Lessons follow the UK KS2 and KS3 curriculum, tailored to each student’s current level and learning needs.
How long is each lesson?
Sessions are typically 60 minutes.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is structured to understand the student’s current level, identify strengths and areas for development, and outline a clear learning plan for future lessons.
Do you provide homework or additional work?
Yes, where appropriate. Short practice tasks may be given to reinforce concepts covered in lessons.
How does scheduling work?
Parents are first invited to complete a short enquiry form to share details about the student. I then review the information to ensure suitability. If appropriate, a free trial lesson is confirmed and available time slots are shared.
What happens after the trial lesson?
After the trial, I provide feedback on the student’s current level along with a recommendation for next steps.
How does regular scheduling work?
If continuing lessons are recommended and mutually agreed upon, a consistent weekly schedule is agreed based on availability. Sessions are then booked in advance on an ongoing basis.
How are payments handled?
The trial lesson is free of charge. For students continuing with regular tuition, payment is discussed and made monthly in advance to reserve an ongoing lesson slot.
How soon can I expect progress?
Most students begin to show visible improvements in confidence and understanding within a few weeks of consistent learning. With ongoing support and practice, steady academic progress typically becomes clear within one term.
